R U OK?

Details

Are they really OK? Ask them today.

Today and every day, at Krost, we are supporting R U OK? Day.

Now, even more than ever, people we know might be having a hard time. Sometimes it’s hard to tell, so it's important to check in. Keep reading to find out more about how you can start a conversation and help others.

Today is a reminder that we need to stay connected and make asking “are you OK?” part of our everyday.

When we genuinely ask and are prepared to listen, we can help someone who might be struggling feel connected and supported long before they’re in crisis.

Don’t wait until someone’s visibly distressed; make a moment meaningful today. Good opportunities for talking include on breaks from work, when exercising together, or when sharing a meal.

Meaningful moments to talk about life’s ups and downs are more likely to happen when we’re spending quality time together. Some good opportunities for talking include:

  • On breaks from work or study
  • When exercising together
  • When connecting or doing activities together online
  • When you’re spending time together socially
  • When you’re doing an activity side-by-side
  • When you’re sharing a meal
  • When you’re travelling together, even a short trip can be a good time to talk

To show our support and raise awareness, we’ll be sharing information and resources with our team and on social media.

We’ve also asked our team to show support by wearing their best yellow or R U OK? outfits. Don’t forget to follow us and check our Instagram page @krostfurniture today to see it all.
